The Rule of Law

Our School Rules

Our school rules are very clear to all pupils as well as our high standards of behaviour. Many children recognise that we need school rules to keep each other safe and happy as the laws of the outside world do. Our intention is to prepare the children to become happy, healthy participating citizens.

We focus on developing children’s positive behaviours and attitudes that will help them to thrive in school and the future. When children struggle with this concept and fail to stick to our school rules, they are referred to ‘Positive Footprints’ a daily behavioural intervention that promotes discussion, reflection and the use of SMART targets to make a positive change.

"Positive Footprints helps me calm down and focus more on work. I can reflect on my behaviour and make SMART targets for the next day. " - Thomas

"I was making poor decisions in class at times, I was talking too much and was moved seats. After attending Positive Footprints with our Learning Mentor, I slowly realised that my behaviour was distracting other pupils and not just me." - Daniel
