In this topic, we learnt about the different stages of grief and the different types of loss that you can experience in your lifetime. This is not always associated with death, but you can grieve a loss of friendship, a loss of an experience or a loss of a family member. During this topic, we also recapped on the skills for using technology positively and safely. We considered different scenarios and what we would do if we were ever put in this situation whilst online.

"It's important to look after your mental health. We have done lots of work to take care of our minds just as much as our bodies." Luis

"We spend more and more time on our mobile phones and online games, especially during lockdown, after school or at the weekends. That's why it's more important than ever before to be careful how you are behaving online. Sometimes, people can prey on those who are vulnerable and you have to make sure you are always careful." Ben

"I always associated grief with death. However, I've learnt than you can feel sad and upset about losing out on a friendship or a family member who has moved away. Understanding how you feel at different stages is important because you know what your emotions are always 'normal' so you don't feel isolated and alone." Evie
