Parent Planners:

 

Each term, as we set off on a new learning topic/topics, we will be sending home a Parent Planner that explains to parents/carers exactly what we will be studying in Maths. On these planners, you will see the exact Curriculum objective that your child will be studying, alongside some useful questions that you could ask them at home in order to consolidate their learning. In addition to this, you will find some suggested IXL codes on the planner, which will help your child to push their learning and work on any misconceptions. 

 

Why not ask your child what some of the words mean on the planner? Can they identify what is meant by certain symbols or words? Can they explain the formula for area/volume etc? Can they make some of their own problems for you to 'tackle'? 

 

Should you feel that you need any advice regarding the Parent Planner or any of the topics that your child will be studying, then feel free to speak to their teacher or Mr Kennedy.
