Independence
Independence:
Independent study is a process, a method and a cornerstone of Mathematics in our school. It is the process in which a student acquires the ability for inquiry and critical evaluation and it includes freedom of choice in determining how to solve problems.

Pupil Voice:
"Working on my own is so important in maths. I love it when we practise 'my turn, our turn, your turn', which involves sir showing us an example in silence, then showing us the same example but commentating over it. Next, we do 'our turn', which is where sir starts us on a problem and then stops and lets us finish. My favourite is 'your turn', because this is where we tackle problems independently and show off what we have learnt." - Olivia M
