Classes 5 and 6 thoroughly enjoyed receiving their First Holy Communion today. The children were beautifully behaved in church and demonstrated a mature and responsible attitude throughout. Following the wonderful service, the children and their families were invited for refreshments in our school hall. This proved to be a hit, as our St Francis de Sales families mingled and enjoyed the special occasion as a community. The fun continued into the afternoon with a disco to top off this delightful day.
We would like to say a big thank you to everyone involved in preparing for this celebration especially the children who have worked exceptionally hard throughout their Sacramental preparation and to Father Ged for all of his support and guidance.
The children returned home with a wonderful keepsake of their First Holy Communion: a mass book and a framed photograph of them on their special day!
