Roman Chester

Today, we had the perfect introduction to our new history topic (The Romans) by visiting Chester and The Grosvenor Museum.

The trip was jam-packed with exciting activities, but the highlight of our day was our walk around Chester city centre. We joined Roman Legion XX (that’s 20) and were led by Decanus Marcus Aurellius Nepos, who marched us into the remains of a Roman amphitheatre. We practised a variety of solider formations and even charged towards our teachers! It was an unforgettable experience as we returned to the coach shouting, “Sin, Sin, Sin, Dex, Sin!"

After such an eventful trip, we are all extremely eager to learn more about Roman life.
