As part of Judaism week, we have had the opportunity to visit Liverpool's largest and most impressive synagogue!

In our lessons this week, we have learned about different features in the synagogue, such as the ark which keeps the torah scrolls and the Ner Tamid (eternal light) which is a candle that never goes out.

When the doors to the synagogue opened, we couldn't believe our eyes as we saw all of these features in real life! We saw the Bimah which was a huge platform which the scrolls are read from, and the gallery which is where all the people sit.
