Cooking and Nutrition: Hot and tasty fish and chicken goujon salad wraps
Year 5 have been getting in the mood for summer, by making hot and tasty wraps with mixed salad leaves and a choice of healthy dressings.
For their hot filling, childen had the choice of either fish of chicken goujons, which were coated in a goldren crumb, using the standard breading techninique. After taste-testing the two types of goujons and trying the differnent dressings and a variety of salad leaves, the children were able to decide which ingredients they wanted to include in their wraps.
After planning and making their filled tortilla wraps, the children then presented them in a burrito style foil packaging, complete with a personalised health information label about what their wraps contained and why they were health.
