Exploring ancient Egypt!

This week, we took a trip to the World Museum to discover even more about life in ancient Egypt! It was amazing to see artefacts first-hand and to imagine what life was like so many thousands of years ago.

Surprisingly, many of the artefacts we saw were not that different from objects we used today. We saw amulets which are special charms which were buried with mummies in order that they would be protected from evil spirits.

'Did you know that the ancient Egyptians had board games like we do today? They would be buried with them so that they could carry on playing in the afterlife!'
