Non Excidet

24/01/19 - Happy Feast Day!

This week we celebrated our wonderful school saint: St Francis de Sales! To carry on the good work of our saint, we collected essential items to donate to those less fortunate sleeping rough on the streets. We were overwhelmed with our community’s kindness and generosity and look forward to Liverpool City Mission distributing our donations to those in need. Thank you to everyone who took the time to donate items. Happy Feast Day!

Check out our St Francis de Sales inspired poetry!

From St Francis de Sales

From St Francis de Sales we learn to follow Jesus' footsteps

From St Francis de Sales we learn to take pride in our work

From St Francis de Sales we learn how to be positive

Non Excidet ... We learn from our mistakes

Non Excidet ... We never give up

Non Excidet ... We wear our school badge with pride

A poem by John (Class 9)

From St Francis de Sales We Learn

Non Excidet (our school motto) stands for 'Shall not fail!"

Our saint, who was ordained in 1593, was related to french royalty

'Never give up' is what he has taught us

Everyone is treated equally in our school, just like St Francis de Sales treated everyone

Xmas is sadly around the time he passed away

Children in our school follow in his footsteps

In Savoy 1567, our beloved St Francis was born

Deaf people adore him for inventing a form of sign language

Each day we pray to God just like St Francis

Together we give thanks to him
