20/12/2018 - Debating
Over the last two weeks, Year 4 have been working hard to develop their public speaking and debating skills. They have gained an understanding of the key skills needed to speak persuasively, including making eye contact and using facial expressions and gestures. They have put these skills into practise through preparing a debate with the motion: 'It is time for Another Place to leave Crosby Beach'. Our children were incredibly persuasive, including lots of persuasive phrases and tools in their speaking! Well done to all of the children who took part!
