20/12/16: School Christmas Carols Service 2016
On Monday 19th December, Year 3 and 4 took part in a Christmas Carol Service in our church. We sung along enthusiastically to many Christmas carols and joined in on prayers. Some children were chosen to take part in our Nativity and looked excellent in their costumes! Others were chosen to be readers and they read in clear, confident voices. It was scary performing to all of Upper School as well as our families, but the children were all excellent and deserve a big thank you for the effort they have been putting in during rehearsals as well as the big show!
Thanks to all staff involved in preparing children for the Service. Thanks to Father Ged for leading it (as well as demonstrating his excellent piano skills!) and Mr Townley, Miss Parr and Miss Bowyer for putting on plenty of singing practise sessions for the children. Finally, thanks to all families who turned up in support of the children.
What a great reminder of the true meaning of Christmas!
