On Wednesday, Years 4 and 5 enjoyed welcomed some furry (and scaly!) creatures into our school in an exciting visit from Zoolab!
Year 4 enjoyed learning about how animals can be classified into vertebrates and invertebrates and they were able to hold some of the animals from these groups. This included a Giant African Land Snail, a Dumbo Rat and even a Tarantula! Some children were brave enough to let a giant millipede crawl across their hand! Year 5 learned more about the life cycles of these animals, linking with their Living Things Science topic.
What a fantastic day the children had getting up close to the animals and learning some interesting things about them!
