19/04/17: Separating Mixtures
Separating Mixtures:
Today, we conducted an experiment which involved separating the following mixtures:
Water & Salt
Water & Sand
Raisins & Flour
Paper Clips & Rice
We had to work as groups to identify which method of separation was best suited for each mixture. Ultimately, we decided to use evaporation for water and salt, filtration for water and sand, sieving for raisins and flour and magnetic attraction for paper clips and rice.
I really loved this lesson and can't wait for our next experiment!
