146th Open Championship at Royal Birkdale
Today, a selection of children from every year group went to Royal Birkdale to experience the atmosphere of one of the world's oldest and most important sporting events, the Open Championship.
We watched dozens of the world's best players on the practice ground, including world number 1, Dustin Johnson. One golfer we are looking out for this Thursday is rising star and British Amateur Champion Harry Ellis, who was first class with our school near the practice ground.
Then it was our turn...
We've had longest drive contests, 9 holes of mini golf, target practice, lessons with professional coaches and been autograph hunting. And special thanks to HSBC for our group Tri-Golf session and for being so welcoming in their golf zone.
We are all looking forward to watching it on tv on the first day of our summer holidays!
