Mandarin

 

This term, children in Year 3 have started to learn Mandarin as part of our Modern Foreign Languages curriculum. For half an hour on a Monday afternoon, each class enjoys the opportunity to learn new aspects of this fascinating language. Our specialist Mandarin teacher (Amber) has taught the children some common greetings such as hello and goodbye as well as introducing the names of some family members including mum, dad, brother and sister. The children have learnt a lot in a short space of time and are always extremely excited when it comes to a Monday afternoon.
