08/06/2018: Design and Technology - Building Funfair Rides With Motors
It's Design and Technology week in Year 6, and our pupils have been set a challenge:
Can you design and build a fairground ride that uses a motor to work independently?
Using their knowledge of the STEM subjects, our pupils researched into fairground rides and how scientific forces affect them.
After conducting this research, our pupils designed their own fairground rides. Finally, our pupils used sets of Knex to bring these designs into reality!
This hands-on, inquiry-based learning opportunity really set a challenge for our pupils - and we were very impressed with the results - and so where the parents who came in to evaluate the creations!
