07/06/17: Back by popular demand.... Graffiti English!
Graffiti English & The Raven
Today, it was time for the return of one of Class 12's favourite activities - graffiti English! We had a variety of classic pieces of poetry, such as:
- The Highwayman (Alfred Noyes)
- The Listeners (Walter de La Mare)
- The Jabberwocky (Lewis Carroll)
- The Raven (Edgar Allan Poe)
Our task was to analyse the poems for descriptive and figurative language (such as similes, metaphors, hyperbole, onomatopoeia - to name a few) and record our findings on our 'canvas'. We look forward to using these to assist us with our planning on Friday! After that, we decided to take our lesson outside into our new Science Garden, where we put together our own unique performances of 'The Raven!' As always, we had some creative ideas - my favourite being the girl-band performance!
