Today, we used our knowledge of history studied during our time in school and prior knowledge that we have, to create a human timeline showing the chronology of the Viking and Anglo-Saxon time period within world history.
We were split into small groups where we examined secondary artifacts from various time periods. After this, we used our knowledge to deduce which time period the various artifacts belonged to. As a class, we discussed connections and comparisons between different time periods and created our human timeline.
In order to develop our understanding of the perilous journey the Vikings took in order to raid Great Britain, we also drew a map showing their routes and locations.
