Cross Country Stanley Park
This week at Cross Country was once again one to remember for all the children involved. Every child made massive improvements in their position from last week some even gaining 35 places (Emily Wilson). All the children really enjoy working hard to gain those extra places for their teammates and the school.
Once again, Rachel Emehelu, from Year 5, was the first girl back finishing in 6th position, gaining an extra place from last weeks 7th place finish. There were also huge improvements in all the girls this week most notably Emily Wilson, who gained 35 places, and Lydia Cadwallader, who also gained over 20 places in comparison to her first attempt.
In the boys race it was neck and neck between Archie McNally and Ben Worthington to see who cam home first for our school. Archie just edged Ben finishing in 15th place and Ben in 20th. Tom Frost also played as huge role in pushing the boys up the leader board with his top 40 finish. There were also huge strides of improvement from the boys, most notably Liam Byrne who gained over 30 places from his first attempt a couple of weeks ago.
All the children are now looking forward to the next race at Clarkes Gardens!
