Yesterday, St Francis de Sales Under 11’s played in the first round of the Merseyside Cup it was a crunch match between one of our local rivals Gwladys Street. The game started well for us as we dominated from the first whistle. We were 1-0 up inside 5 minutes with a great piece of work down the left from our Captain, Josh Miles. We then went from strength to strength dominating all over the pitch. We were 5-0 at the end of the first half limiting them to only one chance, which Jack Glover got down extremely well to palm it away. After the break, we continued as we had finished the first half pressing high up the pitch. We again scored a number of goals and finished the game 9-1. We are now through to the next round against either St Paul’s or All Saints.
