St Francis de Sales V Knotty Ash Primary

On Wednesday, our Year 4 and Year 5 pupils competed against Knotty Ash Primary in the Liverpool Cup.

From the start, the game was played in great spirit by both teams. We started really fast scoring two goals inside the first 15 minutes. The first goal came from a brilliant cross from Harry Lundon, who beat his man on the right and it was a cool finish by Harry Enston. Harry Enston scored a second a few minutes later to make it two nil and just before half time Georgie Gower made it 3-0.

In the second half Knotty Ash played really well and scored from a brilliant free kick and a tap in. Thankfully, Georgie Gower scored his second of the game and it finished 4-2.

All the boys played extremely well especially our two boys playing up from Year 4, Harry Lundon, who was man of the match, and Georgie Gower.

The boys are now looking forward to the next round in a few weeks time.
