When a pupil is identified as requiring mental health support in school, a pre-referral chat will be carried out between the mental health lead and SENCO, Mrs. J. Carson, and the pupil. The outcome of this will determine which level of support is required for the pupil according to the MH vulnerability dashboard (see below). Before beginning any support, the pupil's parents and teacher will be asked to complete a 'Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire' (SDQ), once the support has ended, another SDQ will be completed to track the progress of the pupil and success of intervention.
