Year 3 Trip to Croxteth Park
As part of our Science topic, we had the opportunity to go to the beautiful Croxteth Country Park! This was our first trip in Year 3 and we thoroughly enjoyed every second of it even if we did get a little wet!
When we arrived, we were greeted by Mr. Dib who was such a funny character. He told us that we were needed to harvest his field and collect a list of delicious, juicy fruit and vegetables for them to sell in their shop.
It wasn’t hard work at all because we found it extremely fun. While we harvested the fruit and vegetables, we also continued to develop our knowledge of plants in a little workshop. Mr. Dib was incredibly impressed by our knowledge especially when we told him all about photosynthesis.
Our favourite part of the trip was when Mr. Dib allowed us to dig deep into the cold, wet mud to pull out some huge vegetables such as: beetroot, turnips and potatoes. We were also rewarded with a bag of fresh vegetables to bring back to school because he was so pleased with our work.
This was an unbelievable trip and we can’t wait to see where we will go next!
