Reading great books inspires us to write..
In Year 6, 'Pupil Librarians' are on hand to offer information and advice to ensure that everybody chooses a book that is both enjoyable and challenging. Children are encouraged to look at the front cover and read the blurb on the back of the book to check that it is something they wish to read. All books are organised alphabetically, and we scan the bar code on each cover when a pupil borrows a book. In mirroring a public library, it is anticipated that our children will have the confidence to access and utilise their own local library, fostering a lifelong love of reading.
