Independence:

Independent study is a process, a method and a cornerstone of Music in our school. It is the process in which a student acquires the ability for experimenting, evaluating and critiquing and it includes freedom of choice in determining how and what we play.

"When I started at this school in Year 3, I was really shy and quiet and didn't have a lot of confidence. I enjoyed our music lessons and this prompted me to join our school choir in Year 3 and to start up instrument lessons in Year 4. Now, I'm in Year 6 and the confidence I have built up through performing in front of hundreds of adults and children means I feel no fear if I have to give a presentation and I can achieve anything!" - Lizzie
