Reading Star Moments Winners!

With the Christmas Holidays in sight it could only mean one thing – Reading Star Moments winners were announced! The competition was even tougher this term as children throughout the school understand how important reading is for their education and future aspirations meaning more raffle tickets than ever had been handed out!

The 16 lucky winners, who were being rewarded for their dedication to reading this half term, travelled to Waterstones where they each selected a book of their choice and enjoyed a tasty hot chocolate and treat in the café. While in the café, a member of the public approached the teachers to congratulate the school on how well behaved the pupils were. Being a teacher herself, she recognised just how wonder our pupils are!

For some children it was their first trip to Waterstones. ‘We are having the time of our lives!’ Kieran D. ‘I picked a book that would challenge me and help me to improve my reading skills further.’ Ava U.
