To finish of our latest geography topic on South America we held a geography day. Children took part in lots of exciting activities including: discovering the layers of the rainforest and the creatures that hide within them; how to survive in the rainforest and what to pack if you were to visit and a taster session of some of the food exported by South America. 

The children engaged in a discussion regarding the imports and exports of South America including, how the food is transported and distributed and considered the environmental impact of the the 'air miles'.
