Year 5 Art Week:
Phew! What a wonderful (yet exhausting) day!
We were joined today by our art expert (Becky) to create some Ancient Greek pots! Ancient Greek pottery, due to its relative durability, is the main source of information we have today about life in Ancient Greece. In particular, Ancient Greek pots are a huge source of information for the Ancient Olympics! For this reason, we decided to focus our creations around the Olympic Games. The children had a go at various art skills (such as reverse tracing and sgraffitto) and were able to produce some marvelous pots!
