Virtual Visit to Beijing
On Thursday morning, Year 6 took part in a virtual tour of Beijing – China’s sprawling capital. Using the latest technology, we were transported to a bustling street in the city centre. We had our very own tour guide who provided us with cultural and historical information about this amazing city. We were also intrigued to learn that hardly anybody uses cash there these days, opting instead to pay using their mobile phones to scan a QR code. A glimpse into the future maybe? Additionally, as it has only recently been Chinese New Year, the streets were still adorned with lanterns and decorations. It was amazing!
