Once again, our brave and determined athletes were in action this week at Wavetree Park, in the Liverpool Cross Country Championships.  Despite the cold and slippery conditions, the children demonstrated fantastic attitudes and put in amazing performances.

 

For the girls: Maisie Green and Paige Westray were in outstanding form; leading from start to finish to cross the line in 1st and 2nd places respectively, with the other Year 6 girls also finished strongly.  However, a particular mention has to go to Natalia Pietrasz of Year 5, who battled her way to 23rd place, also running in the Year 6 girls race.

 

The boys also put in some fantastic performances:  Ben Worthington continued his excellent recent form with an 11th place finish in the Year 5 race; while Year 6's Thomas McNally and George Carden both ran strong races to come home in 18th and 19th places respectively in their event.
