Following work on rounding to the nearest 10 and 100, some Year 4 pupils faced the following challenge: 

Using the digit cards 0-9, work together to make numbers that fit the following rules. You can only use each digit once.

1.) When rounding to the nearest 10, I round to 20.

2.) When rounding to the nearest 100, I round to 300.

3.) When rounding to the nearest 100, I round to 1,000.

Pupils had to make as many different combinations as they could to fit the above rules. What a challenge!
