St Francis de Sales was recently invited to join the Young Fan Initiative Scheme with Liverpool FC which gives students the unbelievable experience of attending a number of Premier League home matches at Anfield and last night was the first of these opportunities. Two children from each year group earned the right to attend this prestigious match against Manchester United as a result of their outstanding attendance.    

We met outside the famous Kop Stand next to the Bill Shankly statue giving the children a chance to have their picture taken next to a true legend of the game.

The children had fantastic seats in the Upper Anfield Road end just above the away supporters! As you can imagine, it was an atmosphere like no other! It was just a shame the game wasn’t as thrilling as it finished 0-0!   
 

Every child thoroughly enjoyed themselves and can’t wait for the draw for the next game.
