International Focus Week: Y6 China

 

Year 6 have been studying the amazing country of China this week, focusing on many fascinating aspects of this unique culture. We have studied Chinese writing, and used Chinese symbols in our maths lessons to challenge and stretch ourselves. We have learned about Chinese calligraphy and used this to create our own Bamboo paintings. To add to this, we have studied China’s human and physical geography in depth, asking why the population is so high in China and comparing the communism and capitalism systems of government!

 

To cap it off, we have studied Chinese martial arts in P.E, and learnt Chinese circus skills! Phew what a week!
