Class 7 and 8 have enjoyed being sculptures this week in another fantastic session with our wonderful artist Becky! The children were taught how to draw the human body accurately using the correct proportions. Following this, the children applied their knowledge to create human sculptures inspired by the fantastic Antony Gormley.
After our trip to Antony Gormley’s ‘Another Place’ back in the Autumn term, the children were inspired to create their own version of his wonderful sculptures. The children enjoyed experimenting with clay and using sculpting tools to create their unique human figures. The day resulted in a mass of sculptures all posing in the children’s desired positions (as always, the ‘dab’ was the firm favourite)!
A wonderful week for Class 7 and 8!
