WW1 Poetry Perfomances

After honing in on our public speaking skills and learning WWI poems by heart, today we had the opportunity to perform our poems to the class. Earlier in the week, we had analysed effective poetry performances and tried to use these skills for ourselves.  Amongst other things, we focused on using: a clear, audible voice; hand gestures; open body language; expression and tone of voice to match the mood of the poem; eye contact and of course, learning the poem and reading it confidently.
