08/03/17: Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears! Graffiti English!

Et tu, Brute?

'Class 12 have spoken.... and now our graffiti speaks!'

The anticipation has been lingering for the last week or so, but today, it was finally time to start our work on Julius Caesar! After spending a lesson focusing on Shakespeare, we finally read one of his most famous pieces of work. We unpicked the key themes and discussed the motives of each of the characters. The class seemed to love Caesar himself, and saved most of their ire for the cruel, calculated Cassius. However, I think it goes without saying that most of us enjoyed Brutus' and Marc Anthony's epic battle of words the most!

We were then tasked with putting images of the story in the correct order and making notes about famous quotes, character thoughts and intentions as well as their emotions... graffiti style!

Stay tuned for a few comments from the children. In the meantime, have a look at some of the masterpieces that we produced!  Beware the Ides of March...
