On Friday 2^nd December St Francis de Sales Boys came up against Rice Lane Boys. This was a hard fought game in which we took the lead early on from a brilliant strike by Josh Miles from outside the box. Rice Lane soon equalised and we all thought we were going into the beak at 1-1 until Josh Miles scored for the second time to take us in at half time 2-1 up. The second half started well and we controlled it for most parts. In the 33^rd minute, we added to our lead again Josh Miles on the score sheet from a well worked indirect free kick inside their penalty box. The game finished 3-1 and puts us on top of the league after winning 3 games in a row.

The boys are hoping to continue their winning streak in their next league game.

Also on Friday 2^nd December St Francis de Sales Girls took on Rice Lane in their first game of the season. All the girls played extremely well and fought for their school with pride. Unfortunately, the result didn’t go our way, however they played some really exciting football and came close to scoring on a number of occasions. Miss Brough, will be putting the girls through their paces over the next few weeks to get them ready for the next game.

The game finished 4-0 to Rice Lane.
