Times Tables Rock Stars! 

A ground-breaking event took place at SFDS today - we started using Times Tables Rock Stars to improve our knowledge, fluency and accuracy of times tables and related division facts. Our children are on their way to becoming the best (and quickest) at times tables in the city! Knowledge and recall of times tables is essential to success in Maths and is something that we use in our lives every day. Research shows that children who know their times tables and division facts fluently and can recall them instantly, have 'bigger' long-term memories and are able to use their working memory to a higher degree when facing reasoning problems. Every child will be given their password within the next week and can improve their times tables (and earn coins!) by playing at home - if you have any questions about the free app or times tables, ask your child's class teacher!
