02/07/2018- World Cup Day

Tensions were high in Year 4 today as the children battled bravely and fairly, representing their House Teams in different countries in our own version of the World Cup!

As always with our tournaments, there were some incredible standout moments! Michael A's incredible saves! Some wonderful goals by Georgie G and Harry L and also Jonjo H and Aaron W's phenomenal goals - from goalkeeper position! There really were too many to list! Unsurprisingly, there were a few tears when teams crashed out the competition, but the games were contested in wonderful spirit!

The winning teams from each house played in a semi final. They were:

(Matthew) Sweden vs Switzeland (Mark)

(Luke) Brazil vs Russia (John)

After a nail biting few games, the teams going through to the final (to be played next week) are:

Brazil and Switzerland
