Our parish priest, Father Ged Callacher
The current church of St Francis de Sales, Walton, was finished and opened in 1917 to the great joy of the local Catholic community. The church was designed by Pugin & Pugin and built using local red sand-stone, in the Gothic style. Throughout there is a high quality of carved woodwork, with fine attention to detail. The church is also notable for its remarkable arches and ample proportions - It can seat up to 800 people. At the west end there is a magnificent rose window and below it is a fine organ ( built by Hill Norman and Beard, 1927) raised on a gallery.
Our church family is diverse, with people of different ages and backgrounds coming together to worship and serve God.
