At St Francis de Sales, Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural (SMSC) development is rooted in our Catholic ethos and enriched through our high-quality Religious Education curriculum. Pupils are encouraged to reflect deeply on their own beliefs and values, develop a strong moral compass and show compassion, respect and empathy towards others. Through collective worship, liturgical celebrations, rich classroom discussions, teamwork and engagement with diverse cultures and traditions, children learn to understand the world around them and their role within it. Our SMSC provision nurtures curiosity, responsibility and a sense of purpose, helping pupils grow into thoughtful, reflective and open-minded individuals who live out the Gospel values in their everyday actions and contribute positively to their community and beyond.
