Development of Character

At St Francis de Sales, character development is an integral part of helping our pupils grow into confident, responsible and well-rounded young people. We focus on nurturing qualities such as resilience, kindness, honesty and perseverance, enabling children to face challenges positively and learn from their experiences. Through daily school life, curriculum opportunities and meaningful community volunteering—such as tending war graves, litter picking and caring for our school garden—pupils learn the importance of service, respect and stewardship. These experiences help children develop a strong sense of self, build healthy relationships and cultivate the values that will guide them throughout their lives.
