British Values

At St Francis de Sales, we actively promote the fundamental British Values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of different faiths and beliefs. These values are embedded across our curriculum and school life, helping pupils to understand how they contribute to a fair, respectful and inclusive society. We explore democracy through activities such as voting for class representatives and making collective decisions, and we reinforce the rule of law by creating class charters that set clear expectations and responsibilities. Through these meaningful experiences, children develop the confidence to express their views, respect the rights of others and play a positive, responsible role in modern Britain.
