Rio Carnival Masks!
As part of our international project on Brazil, Year 5 pupils have created their own carnival masks.
Masks have been used for thousands of years as a way of illustrating stories and tales. In Brazil, they are used as part of their elaborate and dramatic costumes! We looked at pictures and videos from previous Rio Carnivals to get our inspiration. They are adorned with sequins, glitter and feathers and the bigger and grander the better!
All children really demonstrated their creative skills and created vibrant mask any Brazilian would be proud to showcase!
