18/01/17: Fazakerley Primary V St Francis de Sales

St Francis de Sales 11

Fazakerly Primary 3

Last night, our under 11’s played their second game of the week against Fazakerley Primary. We started well having a number of chances and controlled the game throughout the first 10 minutes limiting the home team to only one or two chances on the counter attack. Unfortunately for us, that was all they needed as they broke fast and scored a good goal to go one up.

However, having already been in this position on Monday it did not deter our boys who upped their game and within two minutes we were 2-1 in front after two goals from our captain Josh Miles who linked up well with Alfie Richardson on both occasions. From then on, we went from strength to strength. James Glendenning carried his fine from Monday into this game and netted a hat trick. The best of the three coming from inside his own half. Joshua Miles added a few more as did Alfie Richardson, Thomas McNally, Daniel McHugh and Sonny Forward. John Rimmer also played extremely well in defence and on the wing.

The game finished 11-3 to St Francis de Sales, this win now puts us top of the Liverpool Northern League.
