We Are Writers!
To celebrate World Book Day, our pupils have once again been given the opportunity to become published authors in a real book! For some children, this is now the third time that they have had their stories published and so some of them are even sequels to their previous ones.
This year, we took inspiration from the fantastic children’s author Frank Cottrell Boyce. When he visited our school for the grand opening of our new library, he gave our pupils tips on how to be a good writer. He revealed that he always begins by thinking, 'Wouldn’t it be good if…?’
Our pupils therefore began writing their 100 or 200 word stories with the same question in mind this year. Each child has received a free copy of the book and we hope you enjoy reading all of the fantastic stories. There may be a future Frank Cottrell Boyce style hit among them!
