Covid-19 Advice and Guidance

The COVID-19 Lead for our school is Mr. Reidel

Only 'Vulnerable' children and those of Key Workers and should come to school tomorrow - 5th January 2021.

Please report to a member of staff on the playground from 8.15 am with proof that you are a Key Worker.

 

Work will be set for those unable to attend via our Home Learning Portal and we will be in touch regarding this.

What to do if …. Action Needed Return to school when….

My child has one of these Covid-19 symptoms:

  • High Temperature - hot to touch on chest or back.
  • A new continuous cough - coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hrs.
  • A loss or change to senses of smell or taste - cannot smell or taste anything.

DO NOT COME TO SCHOOL.

Contact school to inform us.

Self-isolate the whole household for 14 days.

Get a test.

 

INFORM SCHOOL IMMEDIATELY ABOUT THE TEST RESULT.

….. the test comes back negative or the 14 days expire.
My child tests positive for Covid-19.

DO NOT COME TO SCHOOL.

Contact school to inform us.

Agree an earliest  possible return date - Minimum of 10 days.

Self-isolate the whole household for 14 days.

Year group isolate at home/remote learning available.

… they feel better. They can return after 10 days even if they have a cough or loss of taste/smell. These symptoms can last for several weeks.
My child tests negative for Covid-19.

CONTACT THE SCHOOL.

Agree when your child can come back to school (same/next day).

… on the agreed date with school.
My child is ill with symptoms not related to Covid-19. FOLLOW SCHOOL ABSENCE POLICY - Inform school as soon as possible. … your child has recovered and is well enough to do so.
Someone in my household has covid-19 symptoms

DO NOT COME TO SCHOOL.

Contact school to inform us.

Agree an earliest possible return date - minimum 14 days.

INFORM SCHOOL IMMEDIATELY ABOUT ANY TEST RESULTS.

 your child has completed 14 days isolation.
Someone in my household tests positive for Covid -19.

DO NOT COME TO SCHOOL.

Contact school to inform us.

Agree an earliest possible return date - minimum 14 days.

INFORM SCHOOL IMMEDIATELY ABOUT ANY OTHER COVID-19 TEST RESULTS.

… your child has completed 14 days isolation.
NHS test and trace has identified my child has been in close contact with someone who has symptoms of Covid-19.

DO NOT COME TO SCHOOL.

Contact school to inform us.

Agree an earliest possible return date - minimum 14 days.

 ... your child has completed 14 days isolation.
We/my child has travelled and has to self-isolate as a period of quarantine.

Do not take unauthorised leave in term time

Consider quarantine requirements and FCO advice when booking travel to/from a destination where quarantine is needed

We have received medical advice that my child must resume shielding.

DO NOT COME TO SCHOOL.

Contact school to inform us.

Shield until you are informed that restrictions are lifted and shielding has been paused.

… school informs you  that restrictions have been lifted and your child can return to school.
My child’s bubble (year group) has to stay at home because of a confirmed case of Covid-19 in that year group.

DO NOT COME TO SCHOOL.

Support your child at home with the remote education provided.

Your child will need to isolate for 14 days.
