Year 6

William - 'As part of our science topic, Mr B came into school to teach us all about electricity. I enjoyed the day making circuits using the different components to make the buzzers buzz and the motors turn. Also, it was interesting when Mr B showed us how he can use the balloons to demonstrate static electricity.'

Chloe - 'During our light topic, we used the ipads to measure the lux (light intensity) of the light bulbs. I enjoyed finding out how batteries provided different amounts of energy and how the light intensity changes.'

Bradley - 'I enjoy science lessons because our school helps us to learn all about different topics and we have opportunities to experiment. One of my favourite topics in science is electricity and I am interested in learning about the life cycles of different animals.'

Mia - 'Science in SFDS is exciting because we learn interesting facts, carry out experiments, research scientists and take part in workshops to further enhance our learning.'
