International Dimension

Our Intent

We believe in providing an 'International Dimension' to our curriculum in order to invigorate and inspire learning as well as develop pupils' awareness of the world, its wider issues and appreciate the similarities and differences that exist in a spirit of harmony and fellowship. Learning is linked to all areas of the curriculum and pupils learn about the different aspects of geography, history, art, music, language and culture associated with their country studied.

Pen Pals from SFDS to China

Children from Year 3 and 4 have happily been writing and sending off letters to our link schools in China this week. The children have introduced themselves and told their new friends a bit about their lives in Liverpool and SFDS. We now look forward to receiving letters from China and learning all about their lives there.

Introducing St. Francis de Sales Catholic Junior school to our international link schools

This video represents a day in the life of a pupil at St. Francis de Sales. We have proudly sent this video to our international link schools to show them what a day in the life entails for a pupil in our school. We are currently awaiting their own versions. We look forward to comparing and contrasting our pupils' similarities and differences!
